What happens while an email is delayed?
With Gmail Schedule send, the message stays in Gmail's Scheduled folder. With Soft Send, queue metadata and the timer are stored locally in the extension while a Gmail API-created draft waits to be sent. Soft Send does not operate an email relay or store message content on a Soft Send server.
If you are offline, the Soft Send countdown is designed to pause and resume when the connection returns. Test your chosen delay with a message to yourself before relying on the workflow.
What happens when an email contains attachments?
Soft Send 1.0.1 lets Gmail send messages with actual file or inline attachments through Gmail's native flow. This preserves the files, but the message does not receive the longer Soft Send queue. Gmail's configured Undo Send period remains available. A message that mentions an attachment but contains no file can still trigger Soft Send's missing-attachment warning.
